The Ride Krew Fundamentals clinics provide a comprehensive program designed to build essential off-road biking skills. These clinics help riders progress through engaging drills, games, and activities. We will cover all the essentials, including bike safety, conducting bike checks, helmet fit, core techniques like mastering the three mountain bike essentials, neutral and ready positions, practicing braking techniques, steering and cornering. A well serviced mountain bike, properly fit helmet and closed toed shoes are required.

To ensure a safe and fun experience, please come prepared with:
✔ A geared mountain bike recently serviced, with brakes, chain, and tire pressure checked.
✔ A properly fitted helmet.
✔ Closed-toe sneakers and athletic clothing suitable for riding and the weather

Agile – Ocotillo – Friday Trail Ride

For Attendees of Agile Off Roads – Ocotillo on the Rocks

Join Ride Krew for a trail ride exploring the trail systems around Mount Laguna. Come with a geared mountain bike with 24” or larger wheels, a well-fitting helmet, bike mounted water bottle or hydration pack and closed toed shoes. Bikes should be recently serviced and in good working condition. Riders should be comfortable with off-road terrain, as the routes include rolling hills and varied surfaces. Some prior trail experience is recommended, this is a beginner to intermediate level ride.

Agile – Ocotillo – Saturday Advanced Ride

For Attendees of Agile Off Roads – Ocotillo on the Rocks

Join Ride Krew for a gravity-oriented shuttle ride blasting down Noble Canyon. This ride is for riders aged 13+ with intermediate to advanced skills. A full suspension mountain bike with at least 130mm of travel, full face helmet, knee pads, packed lunch, two water bottles and/or hydration pack are REQUIRED. Bikes should be recently serviced and in good working condition. Riders should be comfortable with technical descents and have the fitness for a 20+ mile ride with several hours in the saddle.

To ensure a safe and fun experience, please come prepared with:
✔ A full suspension geared mountain bike recently serviced, with brakes, chain, and tire pressure checked.
✔ A properly fitted full face helmet, knee pads, two water bottles or large hydration pack and a packed lunch.
✔ Closed-toed shoes and athletic clothing suitable for riding and the weather.

Airbag – Jumping Fundamentals II

This isn’t just another clinic—our Airbag Jumping Fundamentals II session is for those looking to push their limits, master the art of airtime, and stomp their landings like a pro. Perfect for intermediate and advanced riders, this is your chance to learn from the best while taking on progressively larger jumps in a fun, high-energy environment.

We’re diving deep into the fundamentals—think perfect bike-body separation, flawless front and rear wheel lifts, and nailing your landing technique. You’ll get hands-on drills and coaching, building the confidence and control needed to tackle any jump with style. From mastering your foot and body wedge to stomping the lip of a jump, we’ll teach you everything you need to dominate the air. 

This clinic is built for riders 10+ who are capable on their bikes and have completed past Sprockids programs. 

All Ages Airbag Open Jump

Get ready for an epic afternoon of sending it on progressively bigger jumps and airbags! This open jump session is for riders of all ages and skill levels looking to boost their hangtime. Shred with us as you dial in your technique and hit successively larger takeoffs with confidence—it’s all about progression, and we’ll be there to help you progress!

Parents, if you’re up for the challenge, register and ride alongside your kids! If not, stick around to watch them crush it—this isn’t a drop-off event. We’ll keep things safe and fun while you and your little rippers level up those jumping skills.

Bring your mountain, dirt jump, slopestyle, or BMX bike, freshly tuned and ready to go. Don’t forget a snug helmet, pads and closed-toe shoes – see you there!

Balboa Park ~ Learn To Ride

Riding a bike is SO MUCH FUN and we want to help everyone enjoy this amazing, lifelong, outdoor activity!  This one day clinic provides a step-by-step process on how to confidently ride a bike.  Through engaging activities teaching and reinforcing skills we’ll have everyone rolling in no time!  Our friendly professional coaching staff in combination with a small coach to rider class ratio will help to overcome fears and teach important skills.  Learning the skills of paddling and wiggling will get every rider on the way to confidently start and stop, understand how to maneuver bikes around obstacles, and much more! Our fun, unique, and proven instruction methods will help everyone experience the joy of riding a bike!

Participants for this clinic should arrive with their own bike without training wheels.  Rider should be able to sit on the seat with their feet flat on the ground. The event is open to everyone age 4+.  For riders 4-12 years old, an accompanying adult may be needed to support their rider throughout the clinic.  Also, don’t forget hydration (water bottle or hydration pack) and a small snack.

PARENTS: Mom and Dad, do you need help learning to ride a bike as well?  Great news, we will teach you alongside your child!  Please sign yourself up as well. 

EQUIPMENT: Weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes, hydration (water bottle or hydration pack), a small snack, and a fun positive attitude!

After School Mountain Biking Program
Our After School Program teaches essential mountain biking skills in a supportive, fun environment. Riders will develop key skills, including trail safety and stewardship, trail scanning, bike and body positioning, braking, gear shifting, turning, cornering, wheel lifts, climbing and descending, ratcheting, and more!

Who Can Join?
This program is designed for kids aged 8+ who are comfortable riding a geared mountain bike on dirt trails. With a small group size of just 8 participants per session, each rider receives personalized coaching. Parents, feel free to drop off or stay and watch—it’s up to you!

Each participant also receives a swag bag with riding gear and exclusive discounts!

What to Bring:
To ensure a great experience, please have your rider arrive with:

  • A recently serviced, geared mountain bike with 24″ or larger wheels.
    • Double-check the chain, brakes, and tire pressure for optimal performance.
  • A snug, properly fitted helmet for safety.
  • Closed-toe sneakers and athletic, weather-appropriate clothing.
  • A water bottle and a light snack for hydration and energy.

Well-fed and hydrated riders have the most fun, so please make sure your rider is ready!

Program Highlights:
In the second half of the program, riders will take on real trails, departing from the park into nearby trail networks. Starting with the basics, the program progresses to advanced skills, building confidence and skill so every bike-loving kid can ride like a pro! Expect high levels of flow and fun as they improve their technique and tear up the trails.

  • Gear Shifting & Braking: How to shift gears smoothly and brake effectively.

Who Can Join? This clinic is ideal for riders aged 7+ who feel comfortable riding their bikes off-road.

  • A recently serviced mountain bike with a 20″ or larger wheel size and working gears.
  • A properly fitted helmet (snug fit is important).
  • Closed-toe sneakers and athletic, weather-appropriate clothing.

  • Core Techniques: Mastering the three mountain bike essentials, neutral and ready positions, proper body positioning, and effective separation.
  • Advanced Skills: Practicing gear shifting, braking techniques, steering and cornering, mounting and dismounting on hills, ratcheting, switchbacks, wheel lifts, and more!

All skills are taught in a supportive, playful environment using obstacles and games to make learning enjoyable and engaging. With a small coach-to-rider ratio, each rider receives personalized attention to build confidence and develop a solid foundation.

Who Can Join? These clinics are ideal for riders aged 7+ who feel comfortable riding off-road.

Riding a bike is an incredible, lifelong adventure, and we’re here to make sure everyone can experience the joy of it!

 Our one-day clinic guides riders through a step-by-step process for confidently learning to ride. Using engaging activities that build and reinforce essential skills, we’ll have you rolling smoothly in no time! With a friendly, professional coaching team and a small coach-to-rider ratio, we create a supportive environment that helps riders overcome fears while developing important techniques. From learning balance and “wiggling” to confidently starting and stopping, riders will master handling obstacles and much more. Our fun, proven methods ensure everyone leaves with the confidence and excitement to ride!

Clinic Details:

  • What to Bring: Riders should bring their own bike without training wheels. Riders must be able to sit with feet flat on the ground.
  • Who Can Join: Open to all ages 4+. An accompanying adult may be needed to support riders ages 4-12.
  • Bring Along: Weather-appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes, water (bottle or hydration pack), and a small snack.

Chula Vista ~ ¡Aprende a andar en bicicleta!

¡Aprende a andar en bicicleta!

Pasear en bicicleta es ¡muy divertido! y queremos ayudar a todos a disfrutar de esta increíble actividad al aire libre en la que el aprendizaje y la diversión serán para toda la vida. Estamos encantados de contar con un grupo de entrenadores recién capacitados que están emocionados por ayudar a su niño(a) a aprender a andar en bicicleta. Estos entrenadores se encuentran en la fase final de su certificación y necesitan ciclistas jóvenes con quienes practicar y aplicar los conocimientos aprendidos. ¡Les presentamos una oportunidad única!

 

En esta clínica con duración de dos horas se enseña paso a paso como aprender a andar en bicicleta confiablemente. A través de actividades entretenidas que refuerzan los conocimientos y habilidades aprendidas, ¡tendremos a todos rodando en muy poco tiempo! Aprender a pedalear y controlar la bicicleta le dará la confianza necesaria a cada ciclista para arrancar y detenerse, maniobrar la bicicleta para superar obstáculos y mucho más. Nuestros métodos de instrucción únicos, divertidos y comprobados ayudarán a todos a experimentar la alegría de andar en bicicleta.

Esta sesión provee:

  • Entrenamiento personalizado: el niño(a) recibirá instrucción práctica de entrenadores capacitados específicamente para enseñar a niños a andar en bicicleta. 
  • Entorno seguro: las sesiones de entrenamiento tienen como enfoque principal la seguridad del ciclista garantizando así que el niño(a) aprenda a andar en bicicleta con confianza. 
  • Una experiencia divertida: el niño(a) aprenderá a andar en bicicleta de una forma divertida y libre de estrés.

Los participantes deberán presentarse con sus propias bicicletas sin ruedas de entrenamiento (llantitas). Los participantes deben poder sentarse en el asiento de sus bicicletas con los pies apoyados en el suelo. 

Este evento está abierto a todos los niños mayores de 4 años. Es posible que se requiera el apoyo del adulto acompañante para niños de entre 4-12 años de edad. Se recomienda vestir apropiadamente, usar zapatos cerrados, traer hidratación (bolsa o botella de agua), un bocadillo y sobre todo, actitud positiva.
